Curious to Know More? : The Thinking Behind the Initiative

Designing Better Products. Solving Meaningful Problems. Building a Culture of Innovation.
I believe Product Design is at the heart of innovation.
Almost everything around us – from the products we use and the services we depend on to the systems that shape our everyday lives—is influenced by decisions about what to build, why to build it, and how to make it useful, meaningful, and accessible. Product Design brings together research, creativity, technology, business, and human needs to transform problems and opportunities into products that create real-world value.
I believe that if we want to build a stronger and more innovative nation, we need to develop a culture that values Product Design, Research, and Innovation – and empower more people to participate in that process. That belief is why I started DesignThinking.co.in
Why Design Thinking?
Design Thinking changed the way I approach challenges. It taught me that innovation does not begin with a solution. It begins with understanding. Instead of immediately asking “What should we build?”, Design Thinking encourages us to ask: Who are we solving for? What are they really experiencing? What is the underlying problem? Why does it exist? What assumptions are we making? And what could we create that genuinely improves the situation?
It provides a practical and structured way to understand problems, uncover real needs, define meaningful challenges, explore possibilities, prototype ideas, test assumptions, and continuously learn
.
Most importantly, it helps individuals and teams move beyond simply solving problems toward solving the right problems.
That shift can change the way we design products, build businesses, make decisions, and innovate.
Why I Started DesignThinking.co.in
I created DesignThinking.co.in with a simple purpose: to make Design Thinking, Product Design, Research, and Innovation more accessible, practical, and relevant to real-world challenges.
While these disciplines are increasingly recognized as essential to innovation, learning them only as frameworks or theories is not enough. The real value comes from understanding how to apply them – how to investigate problems, identify meaningful opportunities, make informed decisions, develop solutions, validate assumptions, and turn ideas into products that create real value.
Through this platform, I aim to bridge the gap between theory and practice by sharing practical knowledge, frameworks, case studies, research, and real-world perspectives, while also supporting people and teams through mentoring, coaching, and Design Thinking facilitation.
Who I Aim to Support
Students : Build a strong foundation in Product Design, Design Thinking, research, innovation, and practical problem solving, while developing the confidence to work on real-world challenges.
Professionals : Develop structured approaches to solving complex product and business challenges, strengthen decision-making, and apply Design Thinking and Product Design in their professional work.
Entrepreneurs : Discover meaningful opportunities, understand users and their needs, validate assumptions, develop products, and transform ideas into viable solutions.
Organizations & Teams : Build Product Design and Design Thinking capabilities, strengthen innovation practices, and use facilitated collaborative processes to address complex challenges and develop better solutions.
Beyond Design Thinking
I see Design Thinking as an important part of a much larger innovation journey. Innovation does not always begin with a clearly defined problem. It can begin with a signal, emerging trend, technological change, behavioral shift, market opportunity, research insight, or unmet need. And innovation does not end when a solution is designed or a prototype is validated. The solution still needs to become an MVP, enter the real world, gain adoption, evolve through learning, scale, build an ecosystem, and create meaningful impact.
This is why my interests extend across: Product Design • Design Thinking • Research • Innovation • Product Strategy • Technology • Market Intelligence • Business Strategy • Systems Thinking • Ecosystem Development
I am interested in understanding how these disciplines can work together to move from: Signals → Opportunities → Problems → Insights → Solutions → Products → Adoption → Scale → Ecosystem → Impact
Design Thinking provides a powerful human-centered approach within this broader journey—helping us understand people, frame meaningful problems, and create solutions grounded in real needs.
My Vision
My vision is to contribute to a culture where Product Design, Research, and Innovation become fundamental capabilities for individuals, organizations, and society.
I want to encourage students to solve real problems, help professionals become better problem solvers, support entrepreneurs in building meaningful products, and help organizations develop the capabilities required to innovate continuously.
I believe meaningful nation-building is not achieved only by creating technology or infrastructure. It also requires people who can identify important problems, conduct meaningful research, think creatively, design thoughtfully, build effectively, and create sustainable impact.
Product Design can bring these capabilities together.
